Connections

PBR organizes a number of Connections events each year, to bring the biotechnology community together to share interests and develop relationships for maturing research from idea to marketable product.  Events are hosted by local organizations interested in promoting the PBR mission.  Agendas typically include a TEDx style of presentations highlighting current research activities, transition success stories, industry trends or company capabilities/interests.  Two to three presenters provide 15-20 minutes of material leaving time for networking discussions before and after.

Most events include:

• A series of talks and discussions highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of biotechnology
• A meal appropriate to the event time (lunch or dinner usually)
• Opportunities to meet other PBR members and invited guests

Connections events are free for PBR members in good standing (dues are current) or $20 for non-PBR members.  Guests are always welcome!
